Paste your cluster output
Paste _cluster/allocation/explain, _cluster/health, _cat/shards, _cat/nodes, _cat/indices, _cat/allocation or _cluster/stats and get plain-English findings, each with evidence, the cluster's own reason, a fix with your names filled in, and a check.
Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent anywhere.
1. Paste your cluster output
Paste the raw output of one or more of these APIs, from Kibana Dev Tools or curl. Each output is recognised by its columns or JSON keys, not by a label, so a request line above it is fine but not needed. Several outputs in one box are fine when separated by a blank line.
| API | Accepted forms |
|---|---|
_cluster/allocation/explain | with or without a body, with or without ?pretty |
_cluster/health, _cat/health | JSON; text with or without ?v |
_cat/shards | ?v, no headers (default columns), custom h= with ?v (names or aliases), ?format=json |
_cat/nodes, _cat/indices, _cat/allocation | ?v with default or custom h= columns, ?format=json, human sizes or bytes=b |
_cluster/stats | JSON |
For the fullest picture paste: GET _cluster/health, GET _cat/shards?v&h=index,shard,prirep,state,store,node,unassigned.reason, GET _cat/allocation?v, GET _cat/nodes?v&h=name,version,node.role,heap.percent,ram.percent,disk.used_percent, GET _cat/indices?v, and one GET _cluster/allocation/explain per unassigned index.
Thresholds used by the checks (editable)
Paste some output above, or load the example, to see findings.

3. Summary
What to do first
Availability before efficiency: red before yellow, a full disk before a tidy-up.
4. Findings
Each finding shows the evidence from your output, the cause in Elasticsearch's own words where it gave one, a fix with your index, shard and node names filled in, and a command to verify it. Read a fix before running it.
5. Findings as Markdown
This reads the outputs you paste. Sparced reads 81 endpoints in one pass, from a live cluster or a support diagnostic, and prints findings the same way. Run the full diagnostic.
